Blessed Beginnings employs staff that have completed a 45-hour training certification regarding developmentally appropriate practices in working with young children and are required to receive ongoing at least 20 in-service training annually related to their individual position and the age groups served.
Lead Teachers will have at least a Florida Child Care Professional Certification or higher in Early Childhood Education and become “degree seeking’ within 90 days of employment. All classroom support specialists must become certificate seeking within 90 days of employment, and train under the direction of the Lead Teachers. Blessed Beginnings Community Early Learning Center follows the legislative guidelines of having one Credentialed staff per (20) children in the center. The Program Director of the child care facility must have a Florida Director Credential, Associates Degree or higher, along with 5 years of experience or more managing a child care facility.
All staff members and volunteers working with children receive a level 2 background screening to show that they are approved to work with children prior to being in the classrooms.
